Book for Physical Education teachers.

This extended document (500 pages) was planned to reach Physical Education teachers working with primary school children. The book is divided into four sections:

(1) Foundations of Physical Education Teaching for Primary School Children;

(2) Education and Epidemiological Most Recent Information;

(3) Children's Physical Growth and Motor Development;

(4) Assessment of what, why and for what?

The book was written in Portuguese.

This fact sheet was specially written for the mayor of Matosinhos and other city councilors, portraying RUSH's most relevant findings. It is divided into eight sections: overweight and obesity, fundamental movement skills, physical fitness, physical activity, motor dexterity, attention and memory, metabolic markers, and an intervention study.

Important results from the RUSH project were presented at two international meetings.

 

The first was in 2023 (XXXIII Pediatric Work Physiology Conference Hosted by Swansea University (September 2023, Chepstow, Wales).

 

The second was in 2024 at the American College of Sports Medicine in Boston, USA).
